About this property

Welcome to Inn at Carnall Hall

Located at 465 Arkansas Ave in Fayetteville, the Inn at Carnall Hall offers a traditional stay within a 1905 Colonial Revival building originally serving as a women's dormitory on the University of Arkansas campus. The inn presents a blend of historical charm and practical amenities, including free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and accessible features. It holds a solid 4.5-star rating from 444 reviews, reflecting a generally positive guest experience.

The property’s rooms are described as clean and comfortable, with some reviews noting a cozy atmosphere and sizeable layouts. However, the older building’s structure means that occasional noise issues may arise due to gaps around doors, and humidity has been mentioned as a minor drawback. The inn operates with practical check-in and check-out times of 3 PM and 11 AM respectively.

Guests can enjoy on-site dining at Ella’s Table, a low-key restaurant and bar praised for fresh, made-to-order meals and attentive service, making it a convenient option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While there is no room service, special requests can be accommodated with advance notice. The inn features free parking and is smoke-free, but does not allow pets or provide an airport shuttle.

Positioned about a mile from downtown Fayetteville and within walking distance of Dickson Street nightlife, the location suits visitors aiming to explore local attractions. Nearby points of interest include the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, Arkansas Air and Military Museum, and the Clinton House Museum. Its proximity to several airports and other hotels provides options for travelers looking for variety in accommodation or transportation.

Overall, the Inn at Carnall Hall appeals to guests seeking a historic yet straightforward stay near the University of Arkansas campus, combining location convenience with a quiet, small-hotel feel. It is particularly well-suited for visitors attending events or conferences, though those sensitive to sound might consider the age of the building when booking.

The Inn at Carnall Hall was the perfect spot for our team event. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the staff made everything run smoothly. The meeting room was especially impressive—comfortable, well-equipped, and full of natural light, which made a big difference for our group sessions. It struck the right balance between professional and welcoming, and we’d definitely return for another event.

Historic University building made into a comfortable small hotel. Still has some of the original doors and hardwood floors. Oh, if the walls could talk!!! No room service but they will accommodate special requests with advanced notice. Usually booked up so don't dilly-dally. Fairly priced too.

Had a great stay here with my wife recently. The rooms were nice, clean, and sizeable- and the building is beautiful and in a great location. My only issue is that our room was near an exit on the first floor, and the gaps in our door provided us with every noise and conversation that passed by (often). It made it hard to rest in the evenings and morning when people were coming in and out, and made it feel less private.

Had a great experience here last week for work. The hotel was clean and the staff was kind, but the standout was Charlotte at the bar. I walked in early and was the only person there. She not only took great care of me, but we had a great conversation. Hard to find service like that - they've got a gem with her!

Recently attended a meeting here. All meals at Ella's Table (breakfast, lunch & dinner) were very good! Everything is prepared to order. It may take a bit longer, but it's worth it. Our room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a good size. The only downside is that since this is an older building, the HVAC is not optimal. The AC cooled well, but still left the room and everything in it damp from humidity. Great location on the U of A campus. Plenty of restaurants and shops w/in a 10-15 minute drive. Front desk and meeting/sales staff are all wonderful!!

I had a lovely stay at The Inn at Carnall Hall on the University of Arkansas campus. The location is fantastic—perfect for exploring the area. The hotel has a unique charm and character that adds to the experience. My room was clean and comfortable, though it felt like it could use a bit of updating. The food and service were excellent, making my stay even more enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a charming and convenient place to stay!

I checked into this hotel for a conference, and was greeted by Terrance. Not only was he extremely pleasant, but also, he gave me great recommendations of local restaurants. Terrance was professional, easy to speak with and you can see he is a hard worker! I also had the opportunity to meet Sam and Jesse from the restaurant and they are the warmest staff! They are so sweet, and they helped me stay within my budget because I had to account for food tax and the included 20% gratuity on the tab. Jesse and Sam helped me with my concern, and you can see that they get along really well. They really went out of their way and stayed positive when I had a lot of questions. The beds are very comfortable and I slept really well, however the bathroom is limited on counter space so be conscientious of this. You can hear people when they are passing the rooms, but usually people are considerate most of the time. Thank you everyone at this hotel from front desk to the restaurant, I truly enjoyed the stay !
